“The Sejm Journal of 1830–1831” documents, day by day, the proceedings of the Sejm during the November Uprising, from December 1830 to September 1831. The original Sejm records were lost after the uprising’s defeat. Michał Rostworowski, a lawyer and constitutionalist who later served as a judge on the Permanent Court of International Justice in The Hague, spent years reconstructing the journal from scattered copies, deputies’ notes, and family archives. The Academy of Arts and Sciences published the complete work in six volumes (1907–1912). The volumes record the debates, resolutions, and positions of the deputies in chronological order.

A set of six volumes. The blocks are intact; there is slight wear on the leather at the edges of the spines.
