Description

The complete, six-volume “Dune” series by Frank Herbert in the cult edition published by Gdańsk-based Phantom Press International (1992–1993) — considered by many readers to be the best Polish translation of the saga, initiated by Marek Marszał. The set has been completely rebound by hand in artistic bindings made of fine leather by master bookbinders at Antykwariat Polski.

Each of the six volumes was bound individually and features an embossed, geometric ornament on the spine, whose rhythmic, vertical lines evoke the dune landscape of Arrakis. The titles and the author’s name are gilded on darkened headbands, and the horizontal stripes at the top and bottom of the spine tie the whole design together into a cohesive, architectural composition. The six volumes are housed in a shared protective slipcase, lined on the inside and fitted with a satin ribbon that allows the volumes to be easily removed from the slipcase.

This binding was crafted by hand from natural leather as a one-of-a-kind piece—the set in this form is truly unique. It is a must-have for collectors of science fiction literature, fans of Herbert’s work, and anyone looking for a unique gift with lasting, artisanal value.
