“Płomyk” was an interwar literary and educational weekly for older children and teenagers, published by the Polish Teachers’ Union and edited at the time by Helena Radwanowa. The 1929 issues feature poems, historical stories, geographical reports, and articles on science and technology. The issues were bound together in a hardcover volume.

Provenance: On the half-title page, there is a handwritten inscription in old-style ink reading “Wiśniewska and Zawoja.”

A few loose pages that have come loose from the binding. The pages are generally clean, with slightly frayed edges and discoloration of the paper, but no missing text. The binding is sturdy, with worn edges and corners; the spine cloth is dusty.
