Jozef PIŁSUDSKI’S idea and deed [1934].

“The Idea and Deed of Jozef Pilsudski” is an occasional collective publication, published in 1934 by the Library of Scientific Works in Warsaw. The book is an expression of the cult of the Marshal, who in the 1930s reached the apogee of his legendary position in the society of the Second Republic.

The work collects articles and dissertations by prominent representatives of the intellectual and military elite of the time, who analyze various aspects of Jozef Pilsudski’s activities – from his struggle for independence, through his role in the formation of the foundations of the state, to his political and social concepts. The publication is not only a document of the era, but also a valuable source for research into the formation of the Piłsudski myth and the dominant historical narrative in the interwar period.

For historians, political scientists, researchers of the history of the Second Republic and collectors of memorabilia related to the figure of the Marshal, this volume is an item of great source and collector value.
