“Płomyk” was an interwar literary and educational weekly for older children and teenagers, published by the Polish Teachers’ Union and edited at the time by Helena Radwanowa. This volume contains issues from the second half of the 1932/1933 academic year and is a continuation of the volume covering the first half of the year, which is also available in our store. It features poems, historical stories, geographical reports, and articles on science and technology.

Provenance: On the title page is a handwritten inscription in old-style ink reading “Wiśniowska Zawoja,” the same as on the volume covering the first half of the year; both volumes come from the same interwar home library.

The volume (over 500 pages) is cohesive and intact; the pages have no tears or missing sections, but do show natural discoloration. The binding is in good condition, with a sturdy spine; there is minor wear on the edges of the marbled paper.
