The book consists of two parts: a 410-page study and a 110-page appendix of source material containing court records, in which Old Polish legal formulas and oaths taken before judges by nobles and peasants have been preserved. This is valuable material for the history of the Polish language and 14th-century society. The “Library of Legal Skills” series.
