“Płomyk” was an interwar literary and educational weekly for older children and teenagers, edited at the time by Helena Radwanowa. This volume contains the first 22 issues from 1929: poems, historical stories, geographical reports, and articles on science and technology. What sets it apart is that the paperbacks of the individual issues have been preserved, complete with illustrations and tables of contents; bookbinders usually removed them when binding the annual volumes.

Provenance: On the half-title page, there is a handwritten signature in old-style ink reading “Wiśniowska Zawoja,” the same as on other volumes of *Płomyk* and *Płomyczek* from this collection.

The volume (over 510 pages) is intact; the pages are clean, with no missing sections or stains; the edges are slightly frayed, which is due to the untrimmed newsprint. The half-cloth binding is sturdy, with some dust and minor scuffing on the edges.
