Description

Edition of the works of one of the most outstanding poets of Polish Romanticism – Cyprian Kamil Norwid – covering a wide range of the author’s works: minor poetic works, poems, dramatic works, legends, novellas, storytelling, translations and treatises written in verse and prose. The edition was prepared, with explanatory notes and an introduction by Tadeusz Pini.

The publication is among the important interwar editions making an effort to popularize and elaborate Norwid’s legacy during the period of reborn Polish statehood. The author’s oeuvre, combining philosophical, religious and social reflection with an original artistic form, occupies a special place in the history of Polish literature and exerted a significant influence on subsequent generations of artists.

The copy is hand-bound in leather in the bindery of the Polish Antiquarian, with the utmost care taken to ensure durability and security for generations.
