Huang yan 1990-2006

A publication presenting the work of Huang Yan -. a contemporary Chinese artist – covering works created between 1990 and 2006. The album shows the development of his artistic activity, in which the artist combines traditional motifs of Chinese art with modern visual concepts, reflecting on the relationship between culture, nature and identity.

The artist’s characteristic juxtaposition of elements of landscape painting with photography and the human body leads to a dialogue between the past and the present, showing cultural transformations in a global context.
