“The Mission of the Catholic Woman” is the Polish translation of a work by Gioacchino Ventura di Raulico (1792–1861), an Italian theologian and highly regarded preacher in Rome and Paris. The author outlines the role of women in the Church and society from antiquity to his own time: as mothers, caregivers for the poor, and founders of ecclesiastical works. The Polish edition was published in four parts between 1901 and 1904 by the Polish Publishing Society in Kraków.

Provenance: The title pages of both volumes bear the stamp “Rev. Maryan Nassalski.” Fr. Marian Nassalski (1860–1942) was the editor of the journal *Homiletyka*, an official of the diocesan court, and pastor of St. Barbara’s Parish in Częstochowa, as well as the author of memoirs.

A set of all four parts.

The pages of both volumes are intact. The bindings are in good condition, with minimal wear on the spines and edges.
