The anthology *Młoda Polska w pieśni* was compiled by Czesław Jankowski, a critic writing under the pen name Aramis, editor of the St. Petersburg-based *Kraj*, known for his scathing reviews. The first edition (1898) was one of the earliest surveys of new Polish poetry. This second edition, from 1903—“thoroughly revised, expanded, and supplemented”—already showcases a fully formed movement: from the Decadents and Symbolists to poets of the folk and patriotic traditions. The selection reflects the critic’s distinctive views. Published by Gebethner and Wolff.

Notes on the title page. Period half-leather binding.
