The presented collection is two occasional publications of high historical value, documenting the history of Polish postal and telecommunications in the first twenty years of the Second Republic. The publications were published by the Contemporary Printing House in Warsaw.

The main work – “XX Twenty Years of Post and Telecommunications in Independent Poland” – is a lavishly illustrated album published on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Poland’s independence. The publication contains detailed descriptions of the development of postal, telegraph and telephone networks in the Polish lands, the takeover of infrastructure after the partitioners, the organization of the Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs and the efforts to rebuild and modernize these key branches of the economy for the functioning of the state. It is an invaluable source of knowledge about the communications infrastructure of the Second Republic.

Accompanying the publication is a brochure entitled “Uniforms of Officials,” which is an official study of regulations and patterns of official uniforms for postal and telecommunications employees. This document is extremely valuable material for historians of institutions, researchers of social history and collectors of militaria and service badges.
