“A Concise Geographical Dictionary” by Edward Maliszewski and Bolesław Olszewicz is an alphabetical dictionary of towns, regions, rivers, and mountains in Poland and neighboring lands, featuring administrative, economic, and demographic data. It was published several years after the borders of the Second Polish Republic were established and captures the knowledge of that time regarding the reborn state. It was published by the Warsaw-based firm Trzaska, Evert, and Michalski, known for its meticulous encyclopedic publications.

A two-volume set in its original period bindings: useful for the historical geography of Poland and a nice addition to any bookshelf.

The text blocks of both volumes are intact; the pages, maps, and illustrations are clean, with no foxing or water stains. The bindings show slight wear on the leather spines, and the gilt lettering is clearly visible.
