X. Józef Męciński, Double Sermons for Sundays Throughout the Year. Vol. I–II [1782–1783]

A two-volume collection of sermons by Father Józef Męciński for every Sunday of the liturgical year—two sermons for each Sunday—which made it a practical tool for pastoral work. The texts belong to the tradition of late Baroque and early Enlightenment Polish homiletics, which combined moral instruction with the exposition of doctrine.

The edition was published in Kraków between 1782 and 1783 at the printing house of Anna Dziedzicka, a widow—one of the active Kraków publishing houses of the second half of the 18th century, which primarily printed religious and practical books. The numerous pagination errors in Volume 2 are typical of editions from that period and do not affect the completeness of the text.

A clean copy; the pages are in good condition. The volumes have been rebound in half-leather; the blocks are stable, and all pages are present.
