A richly illustrated album accompanying an exhibition organized under the honorary patronage of the presidents of Poland and Lithuania. The catalog is divided into eight thematic sections, presenting various aspects of Vilnius Classicism. The album presents paintings and drawings created by Vilnius artists of the Classical period, as well as applied art of the time. It includes an extensive introduction discussing the functioning of the idea of classicism in Vilnius and the activities of the School of Fine Arts in Vilnius, which existed since 1797.

The book comes from a bibliophilic thematic subset of some 500 specialized titles on Polish painting of the 19th and 20th centuries. A fine copy in a leather binding made in the bindery of the Polish Antiquarian.
