Description
The book presents the life and work of Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869-1907), one of the most prominent Polish artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, whose oeuvre includes painting, printmaking, theater and literature. The author analyzes in detail the artist’s life, his education and the most significant stages of his work, focusing on his paintings, which gained recognition for combining symbolism with elements of folk art and national motifs.
