Description
“The Talmud,” translated by Isaac Kramstuck, is a fundamental work that forms the heart of Jewish religious and cultural tradition. Published in 1869 by Druk. Gazeta Polska in Warsaw, the Talmud consists of two main parts: the Mishnah, which documents the oral law of the Jews, and the Gemara, which is a commentary on the Mishnah. Kramstuck, as the author of the translation and explanations, enables readers to understand the complexity of the text and the theological concepts that are central to Judaism. This work is not only a source of knowledge, but also a past reference that shapes contemporary thinking about morality, law and community.
