Description

A rare, interesting edition of Adam Mickiewicz ‘s Dziady (Forefathers’ Eve), compiled and published on the occasion of the legendary staging of the drama at the Municipal Theater in Krakow on October 31, 1901. This performance, with staging and artwork by Stanislaw Wyspianski, went down in history as one of the most important theatrical events of the early 20th century in Poland.

The publication was published by Wyspianski himself and contains the text of the drama in a stage layout that corresponds to the version presented on stage.
