Description

An extremely valuable and rare edition devoted to one of the most important Polish manuscripts. The book is the result of the work of three eminent specialists, Ludwik Bernacki, Ryszard Ganszyniec and Wladyslaw Podlacha, who analyzed the prayer book of Wladyslaw III Varnańczyk, stored in the Bodleian Library in Oxford. The authors not only describe the manuscript, but also analyze its historical and artistic value, paying special attention to the notes of Joseph Korzeniowski, father of Joseph Conrad, which were in the margins of the book.
A copy in bibliophile leather binding made in the workshop of the Polish Antiquary.
