Description

A satirical heroicomic poem by Ignacy Krasicki, published anonymously in 1778. The work depicts a fictional dispute between the Dominican and Carmelite orders, which escalates into an amusing and intrigue-filled war.
Krasicki with a lot of humor and irony criticizes the vices and vices of monks, their pride, stupidity and lack of knowledge. The poem is also a criticism of the clerical state of the time and its influence on society.
A copy in bibliophilic leather binding made in the workshop of the Polish Antiquary.
