Published in 1913 by GiW Publishing House in Krakow, the book “Memoirs” by Wojciech Kossak is an extremely interesting publication that reveals the life and work of one of the most famous Polish painters and continuators of the Kossaks’ painting tradition. Kossak, as an outstanding representative of art, shares in his memoirs his personal reflections on his artistic experiences and the events in which he took part. The book contains colorful descriptions of both the artist’s inner life and his interactions with other artists and influential figures of his time, and depicts the creative process behind his outstanding works.
