\u201cP\u0142omyczek,\u201d the younger sibling of \u201cP\u0142omyk,\u201d published by the Polish Teachers\u2019 Union, was a popular magazine for younger children during the Second Polish Republic. It was edited by Janina Porazi\u0144ska, a leading figure in Polish children\u2019s literature. The 1929 volume contains fairy tales, poems, short stories, and simple articles on local history and nature, written with the youngest readers in mind.<\/p>\n
Provenance: On the half-title page, there is a handwritten inscription in old-style ink reading \u201cWi\u015bniowska Zawoja,\u201d the same as on the volumes of *P\u0142omyk* from this collection. In this household, they collected periodicals for both older and younger children.<\/p>\n
The block is intact; the pages are clean, with no tears or missing pages, and show natural discoloration. The binding is a sturdy half-cloth binding with minor scuffs on the edges.<\/p>\n
