“Puck” is a social satire by Ouida (Marie Louise Ram\u00e9) on Victorian society. The narrator is a little dog who observes the behind-the-scenes goings-on of London\u2019s social life. Ouida, known for her eccentric lifestyle and love of animals, was one of the most popular novelists of her time. The Polish edition was published in Warsaw by Salomon Lewental, a publisher who introduced many translations of foreign literature to the Polish market.<\/p>\n
