During the era of the Germanization of education in the Grand Duchy of Pozna\u0144, the journal served as a forum for the exchange of pedagogical ideas and the defense of the Polish language in schools. Estkowski wrote that \u201ca nation will be what it is raised to be, and it is raised according to the teachers it has.\u201d This volume contains essays on teaching methods, moral and physical education, as well as \u201cLiterary and Bibliographic News.\u201d Estkowski died in 1856 at the age of 36.<\/p>\n<p>On the title page and the page preceding the title page are a \u201cBachurski\u201d stamp and a sticker reading \u201cBachurski in P\u0142ock\u201d\u2014the marks of this P\u0142ock family\u2019s home library.<\/p>\n<p>An item from the 18th Polish Antiquarian Book Auction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Title: Szko\u0142a Polska: A Monthly Journal Devoted to Pedagogy.
