This is a classic and highly regarded numismatic catalog by Jozef Andrzej Szwagrzyk (1915-1992) – an outstanding Polish historian, numismatist and long-time employee of the Library of the Ossolineum National Institute in Wroclaw. The publication was published in 1971 by the Ossolineum (Publishing House of the Polish Academy of Sciences) and is a catalog of an exhibition of the Ossolineum Library’s own numismatic collection. The catalog was published on the occasion of an exhibition featuring more than one hundred showcases of items from the Ossolineum’s collection, providing an important source of knowledge for numismatists, art historians and collectors.
