This first Polish edition of the autobiography of Charles Darwin, one of the most outstanding scientists in the history of mankind, is an extremely valuable document of the era and a rarity on the antiquarian market . The book was published in 1891 by the Warsaw publishing house of the “Weekly Review” in a translation by the eminent biologist Jozef Nusbaum-Hilarowicz . <\/p>\n
The publication includes Charles Darwin’s autobiography, in which the scientist describes the development of his mind and character, and a selection of his correspondence, prepared by his son, Sir Francis Darwin . This is the first Polish translation of this work, which was first published in the English original in 1887.
