Comprehensive bibliological and bibliographical monograph on the beginnings of printing, editing and bookbinding in Poznan from 1577 to 1636. Describes, among other things, the history, crafts related to books (parchment makers, paper mills, card makers, bookbinders, illuminators). Includes lists and lists and extremely detailed bibliographic descriptions of 330 old prints. On pages 129-320 there is an extensive bibliography of prints of the Melchior Nering printing house and the Wolrab family. The item is enriched with interesting illustrative material.

A clean copy in good condition. Full brown leather. Embossing on spine, covers and edges. Gilding on the corners. Titled in gold on a leather signboard. The lining and edges of the pages are hand-marbled.
