Publications that thoroughly present the painting achievements of Jan Matejko. The first book, “Matejko oil paintings,” is a comprehensive study that takes a closer look at the painter’s major works, focusing on his oil paintings. The second publication, “Matejko oil paintings, a catalog,” includes a detailed catalog of the same works, including descriptions, dates of creation, historical context and information about the exhibitions in which they were presented. The two books form a complementary whole, enabling a better understanding of Matejko’s work.

The book comes from a bibliophilic thematic subset of some 500 specialized titles on Polish painting of the 19th and 20th centuries. Copies in fine leather bindings made in the bindery of the Polish Antiquarian.
