A History of Voyages and Discoveries Made at Sea and on Land by Willam Desborough Cooley is a rare first edition from 1842, published in Warsaw by the printing house of the Bank of Poland. It is a unique travel book of the 19th century dedicated to the greatest geographical expeditions from the beginning of the 15th century to the author’s modern days.

The author describes the great geographic discoveries – from the pioneering voyages of Vasco da Gama and Magellan, to the discovery of the New World, to later exploratory expeditions. In the book you will find fascinating accounts of sea and land voyages that changed the image of the world.

The copy is distinguished by a handmade leather binding prepared by the Polish Antiquarian Bindery. An additional value is the exlibris of Henryk Karpinski, making this publication even more valuable for collectors.
