Description of contents: “Album for the benefit of fire victims” by Jozef Dunin Borkowski is a publication issued to support the victims of the fires that struck Lviv in the mid-19th century. The book contains a collection of poems, stories, articles and other literary works written by various authors, both well-known and lesser-known, who decided to support this noble initiative.
The issue was intended to raise funds to help the fire victims of Lviv, as well as to draw public attention to the plight of the fire victims. The works included in it reflect the social, patriotic and humanitarian sentiments of the time, as well as the variety of literary talents of the era.
